Kitchen 6: by Dreammaker Bath and Kitchen

Project Description:

An Empty Nester couple decided it was time for a change. They wanted to stay in their home, so it made sense to make it their dream kitchen—and hire the DreamMaker team. They wished for a more open concept in the kitchen area, to allow for everyday functionality as well as a better flow for entertaining.

By removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room, the desired space was created. An extra window was installed to bring in natural light, and French doors were installed to separate the living room/music room.

The warm cherry cabinetry by Showplace is complemented by the Cambria quartz island countertop. The kitchen also touts Black Pearl granite countertops on the perimeter, a glass tile backsplash and professional appliances. For entertaining, a wet bar was created, including wine storage and ice maker with integrated doors to match the cabinetry.

Their friends and family can now sit at the raised island countertop which separates them from the sink area. They can fix themselves a beverage at the wet bar without getting in the way of the meal preparation area.

All in all, the client loves the change--and so do their guests!
