Kitchen 4: by Century Floorspace

Project Description:

Lake living often means a lot of fun packed into a small footprint. The owners of this new build wanted their home to reflect life well lived with family and friends. Every wall of the living area was covered in brick, giving the feel of an urban loft. Rich contrasts were incorporated using mahogany floors, metal stair treatments, a concrete fireplace face, and reclaimed beams from the original cottage. Christine and Alisha tag teamed as the project evolved into a seamless integration of texture and color.
Every inch of the kitchen space was wisely allocated. The decision was made to forgo upper cabinets in favor of showcasing the Chicago brick and keeping the window large. Sleek white European frameless cabinets by Ultracraft maximize space on the stove wall and are complimented by a contemporary stainless steel range hood. A custom pantry makes best use of corner space and segways nicely into the beverage center that frames and minimizes the refrigerator. The island is the centerpiece of the kichen, made up of Plain and Fancy cabinetry in a distrssed black finish. The concrete countertop matches the fireplace across the way, while contrasting the black solid surface on the range wall.
