Kitchen 20: by Standale Interiors

Project Description:

This remodel project is one that can hardly be described in words. It was once a Thermofoil white kitchen with a peninsula that made the chef feel trapped in the working space. My vision was to open the space, create an atmosphere in which multiple chefs could create masterpieces or people could congregate for fellowship.

We removed the restrictive peninsula, replaced it with an island that begs to help in the chef's prep, and also allows for a space where people can gather and visit. We replaced the Thermafoil cabinets with the richness of Lyptus that has the warmth and distinction of a fine antique. Although the cabinets are darker, one cannot imagine how the space has been "enlarged" visually by the transformation of this kitchen.
